Hey PopRockers, we have some awesome news! A few weeks ago we interviewed Any Girl, also known as Reija Lee about her single Talk About You. You can watch it here.
As a fan of Pop Music and a big fan of Any Girls style of pop, when you mix that with another great Western Australian – Shockone, you have the ingredients for a massive hit. Now I am 100% biased and not ashamed to say that. But you have to listen below and make up your mind about Any Girl and her new single Unbreakable. Just remember it’s a pop song so if you are not into Pop Music it may not be for you. I say may rather loosely as there is elements of rock and other influences.
One thing we like about Any Girl’s lyrical style is she tells a story, stories we can all relate to. Unbreakable is no different, diving into nostalgic love to an unbreakable future, the track grabs you from the start and takes us on a journey from early hope to a love surviving to the end of history.
Mix Reija’s storytelling and the inspiring instrumental track from Shockone, mixing EDM, Pop and Rock, Unbreakable should be on everyone’s playlist. Get Unbreakable Here.
Reija debuted Any Girl just seven months ago, and in that time has delivered several hits, Talk About You, Too Far Gone, Underachiever, Into The Black and now Unbreakable. It’s safe to say Any Girl is going to be here for a while, hopefully, a long while.
One thing that concerns me in the current climate of the music industry is; The amount of airplay we give to artists like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. Those two in particular have used social media to build a following which means if they release a song it straight away goes to number one. It could be the worst song but it gets streams, and that makes it fly up the charts and radio’s radar. And I feel everyone is too scared to say when a song is crap. And this unfortunately stops artists like Any Girl, and Shock One from getting the recognition they deserve, and yes They deserve it.
As we mentioned Any Girl has only been around for 7 months, and has 5 hits on her hands. It is an amazing thing to achieve.
‘Unbreakable’ is a testament to Any Girl’s ability to fuse pop and electronic sounds, but moreover, it serves as a call to arms – inviting listeners to embrace solidarity and connection on a global scale, at a time when unity is more important than ever.
As Any Girl describes, this new track is “a reminder that our shared experiences connect us all on a deeper level.”
“It’s about the power of strength in numbers. While the track is quite emotional and expresses moments of hardship, the chorus was designed to be as uplifting as possible – I wanted to remind people what they’re capable of when they stand their ground as a collective.”
Maker of sparkly bops, creator of killer hooks – that’s Any Girl!

“Feels like I’m floating on a cloud with this one – effervescent stuff from you Any Girl <3” Anika Luna, Triple J Unearthed
“From the days of being Reija Lee to this moment, Any Girl’s evolution is on full display. “Underachiever” isn’t just a single – it’s a bold statement. It’s Any Girl announcing that she’s breaking free from boundaries, stepping into her own light, and claiming her place with a sound that’s uniquely hers, and we are very much here for it.”

“ ‘Into The Black’ serves as a compelling introduction to a project brimming with potential, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating the boundless creativity and unique sound that lies ahead.”
