Multi-award winning singer, songwriter, producer, actress and author, Delta Goodrem returns to share her first new song of the year – the high-octane single “Hearts On The Run”. Prepare to be left breathless by the rising tide of Delta Goodrem as she conquers the modern pop landscape, one empowering anthem at a time.
With an instantly energetic beat that is rooted in the vibrant sounds of the eighties, “Hearts On The Run”is a behemoth, hook-driven anthem that does not give you a moment to breathe! It’s dynamic, thrilling from the get-go and beautifully belted out by Delta as she proves once again that she’s a vocal athlete.
Delta explains, “I wrote ‘Hearts on the Run,’ as a message that it’s possible to tap into an unyielding positivity. I wanted to create a high energy feeling with so much momentum, that you can’t help but run. That feeling when you’re in the middle of a marathon, when your legs ache, when your breath is running out, and you question how much further you can go… It’s precisely in that moment that the song insists you can go further, driven by a combination of love and an unbreakable spirit. The song urges you to discover what you’re truly made of by pushing your own boundaries. This song was made to make me run! Your heart is on the run!”
The theme of hearts is trending on Delta’s mood board as she ushered in this exciting new era last summer with “Back To Your Heart”. The release acted as a rebirth for Delta as she explored her sound and firmly cemented her place as an icon amongst the ever-changing musical landscape.
“Hearts On The Run” was teased last summer as Delta spent the best part of 2023 on the road, bringing her unforgettable show experience to Europe and the UK for the first time ever, playing sold-out shows to thousands, including an extraordinary night at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire as part of the “Hearts On The Run” tour.
Ever the shapeshifter, Delta also made a triumphant return to the big screen portraying fiercely independent pilot Dana Randall in the #1 Netflix movie, Love Is In The Air.
2023 also saw Delta mark the 20th anniversary of her record-breaking debut album, “Innocent Eyes”, which is one of the highest-selling albums in Australian history. The album debuted on the UK official chart at #2, held off the top spot by Beyonce’s “Dangerously In Love”. The record featured hit singles “Innocent Eyes”,“Lost Without You” and the unforgettable anthem “Born to Try”.
Kickstarting 2024 in Los Angeles, Delta was recently honoured at the annual G’DAY USA Arts Gala, which celebrates Australian excellence in America. Previous recipients of the prestigious award include Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Elle Macpherson and Toni Collette. Now settled back in the UK, she will perform for Radio 2’s Piano Room month, alongside a very special friend and collaborator. A long-standing queer icon and ally, Delta is also looking ahead to summer and has announced a main-stage performance at Mighty Hoopla in June.
With numerous global chart-topping albums and singles over the last two decades, musical powerhouse Delta continues to provide a soundtrack to the lives of a generation of music fans and “Hearts On The Run” perfectly establishes her as one of the most exciting solo artists in the world today. She is an artist in the truest sense, bringing stories to life as a singer, songwriter and traversing stage and screen as an actress and makes giving back a focus in her life as a philanthropist. In 2020 she launched the Delta Goodrem Foundation, which strives to spread kindness, hope, and support for those facing illness, hardship, and inequality.
Delta is a creative chameleon and having the most fun whilst doing it. Intent on embracing the past as well as the future, the spotlight continues to shine bright on Delta, and forever may it gleam!
