Why does love always feel like a battlefield, a battlefield, a battlefield?
Coming up with articles to suit a specific series is a battle, especially when you have an idea to add to series like Two Hit, One Hit Wonders when you commit and start writing, and then find out the two-hit wonder actually had three. Lucky I didn’t say one-hit-wonder.
Today we are talking about Jordin Sparks
In Australia, Jordin is probably best known for her song Battlefield, which hit #4 on the Aria Charts in Aus and #3 in NZ.
The song was initially written with Christina Aguilera in mind to sing, later as a duet between Chris Brown and Rihanna, but we know what happened there so the CEO of Jive records decided to give it to Jordin.
Born December 22, 1989
Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.
Genres R&Bpop
Occupation(s) Singersongwriteractress
Years active 2006–present
A year (2008) before Battlefield Jordin had the hit with Chris Brown, No Air, which was #1 on the ARIA charts and #1 in New Zealand.
And just a year before that, Jordin won the sixth season of American Idol at just age 17. That makes her the youngest winner in the series history!
Jordin’s first hit Tattoo was released from her debut album and reached #5 in Australia and 12 in NZ.
She had one other major song that held any position which was One Step At A time, reaching # 12 In Australia and #2 In the land of the long white cloud.
Jordan had a few other releases but failed to enter the charts with any significant impact.
In 2008 Jordin suffered acute vocal chord hemorrhaging due to overusing her vocal chords. A month later she was clear by doctors and was able to rejoin Alicia Keys on tour.
Sometimes artists have been labelled one-hit wonders or two-hit wonders, but if you do a little looking you may find they had three! Jordin is not only a singer, she’s an Actor and Philanthropist.
She continues to release music, after 5 years of not releasing music in 2020 she released two singles “Unkown” and “Red Sangria”
Well Folks that’s Jordin in a nut Shell, tell us what you think Below!
