Behind the Music: The Team Behind ‘Is It You’

Produced at Hope St Studios, ‘Is It You’ was co-written with Mat Rob, Nardia’s long-time collaborator. The track also features Ivan Khatchoyan (Cookin’ on 3 Burners, The Traffic, Thando), with mixing and mastering by Choi Productions.

The accompanying music video was brought to life by director Matthew Kelley from Mindseye Productions. His creative vision materialized within 24 hours of hearing the track, resulting in a cinematic experience set in a retro diner, where reality and fantasy blur together.

“The video transports viewers into a dreamlike world of longing and mystery. As neon lights flicker and time stands still, the question remains—was it really him, or was she lost in a dream?” says Nardia.

Growing up surrounded by music, Nardia was heavily influenced by her blues guitarist father and a family of musicians. Over time, she developed her signature style—an electrifying blend of soul, jazz, blues, and R&B.
