It was a perfect day in Perth. Not a cloud in the bright blue sky, the sun beaming down in all it’s summer glory.
Thanks to the team at ‘A Day on The Green’, we had the privilege of going to see The Script, Calum Scott, Montaigne, and X Ambassadors at Burswood Park it was a cracking day!
I personally think that the time for day’s long events and festivals are going by the wayside. But when you do a festival the right way, you can put on awesome shows, and keep doing that.
A Day on The Green, at Burswood Park, a prime example on how to do a Festival the right way. The festival had a mix of Australian talent and international acts that resonate with the audience.
Getting to and into the festival was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities, clean and abundant.

The nacho’s looked amazing, I say looked, because under doctors’ orders I need to start eating clean. I was so tempted but managed to refrain.
We arrived just before the first act, X Ambassador, as did a decent crowd for a mid-week festival. The punters didn’t seem to mind the early start, a great excuse to knock of early from work.
The bar facilities kept the crowds cool and hydrated. Everyone seemed well-behaved, and we didn’t witness any incidents. The security staff were professional and kept the access ways clear and everyone got a great view.
The only downside was the scorching sun, which beat down on the stage and made things tough for the early acts. When the breeze rolled in, it felt just as cool as the music playing on stage.
I can honestly say that the organizers did a great job with the event. The sound was on cue. I have been to many events where the sound comes in second or third. Distortion and volume levels rendering the audio to a muffled blur. This was not the case here, the audio was clean and crisp, every word and lyric came through clear and audible.
The choice of artists for the festival was a perfect match, all fitting together and complementing each other.
The whole experience was awesome, leaving the venue was easy, and the traffic management made life easy for both vehicles and pedestrians.
10 Outta 10. We can’t wait for the next one, thank you to the team at ‘A Day On The Green’.
