The long-awaited release from Adele has finally been hit the air waves. It has broken records, 24 million streams in a week.
But is it as good as the stats make it out to be?
Watch the video below and let’s see.
At the time of writing, Easy On ME sits number 1 on the Australian ARIA Charts, it went to number 1 in the first week of release. It sits above Cold heart by Elton John and Dua Lipa, and Stay by The kid Laroi and Justin Beiber. You can read our article on Cold Heart Here
So is this track worthy of number 1.
The first thing I noticed when watching on youtube Is the video goes for 5.31 minutes. that’s 1.39 minutes before you hear a tune. If you like long intro’s when watching videos. well, that’s for you. It’s not my thing.
If you listen on Spotify, at least the music starts straight away.
My first impression of the song, it’s a typical Adele song, complicated story telling, with a catchy lyric.
There’s no doubting Adele has a great voice and can sing. But sorry folks this song ain’t for me.
Personally, I don’t think this is a number one song, and I feel people streamed it so many times For one; they have been waiting so long for the release and second the release of the song was hyped up. Finally, you need to listen to it a number of times to get the full story the song is selling.
In my opinion, we need more from Adele, and I hope future singles are more upbeat, more catchy and more sing-along able.
