On 13 March 2026, thousands of devoted John Farnham fans will gather at Melbourne’s iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of Australia’s beloved entertainer. The event, titled We Are The Voice, is set to break records, raise awareness, and deliver an unforgettable night of music, community, and purpose.
Music director Chong Lim and the legendary Farnham Band will lead the crowd in a massive sing-along of Farnham’s greatest hits. With special guest vocalists joining the stage, the audience itself will become the star attraction—transforming into a colossal choir aiming to set a world record for the most people singing John Farnham songs simultaneously.
The record-breaking attempt is more than just a musical milestone. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Head and Neck Cancer Australia, a cause close to Farnham’s heart following his own battle with oral cancer.
Tickets are available now via Arts Centre Melbourne, with sales opening at 12 pm AEDT.
Fans can expect to belt out timeless classics like “You’re the Voice”, Farnham’s anthem of empowerment, and perhaps even the cheeky crowd favourite “Sadie (The Cleaning Lady)”.
The Farnham Band, performing together for the first time since Firefight 2020, promises to deliver every riff, chorus, and intro with the energy and precision that have defined their decades-long career.
“This will be a fun event at one of my favourite venues on the planet, and for a very worthy cause,” Farnham shared in a statement. “Singing my songs for a world record sounds like a challenge, but if they can get the lyrics right, they’ll be doing better than me!”

The Australian Book of Records will oversee the attempt, ensuring every voice counts. They are no strangers to large-scale achievements:
With their expertise, the Farnham singalong is poised to enter the record books.
Beyond the joy of singing, We Are The Voice carries a vital message. Each year, more than 5,500 Australians are diagnosed with head and neck cancers, which can profoundly affect a person’s ability to eat, breathe, speak, and swallow.
By spotlighting these challenges, the event aims to educate communities, encourage early detection, and save lives. Farnham’s openness about his own diagnosis has already inspired countless Australians to seek medical advice and support.
Tickets for We Are The Voice are on sale now at Arts Centre Melbourne.
This isn’t just another concert. It’s a cultural milestone that blends entertainment, philanthropy, and national pride. Farnham’s music has been the soundtrack to generations, and now fans have the chance to give back by raising their voices together.
The Sidney Myer Music Bowl, with its sweeping lawns and open-air acoustics, provides the perfect stage for this historic gathering. As thousands sing in unison, the event will echo far beyond Melbourne—resonating across Australia and the world.
We Are The Voice is more than a concert. It’s a movement of music, memory, and meaning. Whether you’re a lifelong Farnham fan or simply love the idea of being part of a world record, this event promises joy, unity, and impact.
Secure your tickets now, warm up those vocal cords, and prepare to make history at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on 13 March 2026.
