The most famous of the trio that made up Destiny’s Child; is Beyonce. Like or love her she’s back with a brand new track “Break My Soul”. It’s entered the Aria Charts at positions 32, and 21 on the UK Official Charts.
I remember playing Destiny’s Child at clubs I was DJ’ing at that time, Notably, from around 2000 onwards. At the time, “Say My Name” was probably the first track you might remember. Between 2000 and 2005 they had 9 top 10 songs.
After leaving Dextiny’s Child, Beyonce broke out on a solo career. Releasing 7 Studio albums.
in 2022 Beyonce removed her profile pictures from her various social media accounts, causing speculation she was about to drop new music. Beyonce caused further speculation, hinting at her upcoming seventh studio album vis her non-profit BeyGood’s Twitter account. Beyonce officially announced her seventh studio album Renaissance on June 15 2022.
“Break My Soul” is the first single from the album, released on the 20th of June. The album is set for release on 29th July this year (2022).
“Break My Soul” samples Robin S, “Show Me Love”. Robin appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and showed her gratitude. If you don’t know Robin she was a huge House artist in the 90s. If you don’t know what house Music is, read our description below.
Back to Beyonce. One thing that can be said about Beyonce, is that she is prolific in the music scene. Releasing Solo albums, compilations, collaborations, soundtracks, and Karoke Albums. In fact, her solo career sees her with around 32 charting singles in Australia since 2002.
Beyoncé’s success has led to her becoming a cultural icon and earning her the nickname “Queen Bey”. In The New Yorker, music critic Jody Rosen described Beyoncé as “the most important and compelling popular musician of the twenty-first century … the result, the logical end point, of a century-plus of pop.”
Author James Clear, in his book Atomic Habits (2018), draws a parallel between the singer’s success and the dramatic transformations in modern society: “In the last one hundred years, we have seen the rise of the car, the airplane, the television, the personal computer, the internet, the smartphone, and Beyoncé.”
The Observer named her Artist of the Decade (2000s) in 2009.

In its most typical form, the genre is characterized by repetitive 4/4 rhythms including bass drums, off-beat hi-hats, snare drums, claps, and/or snaps at a tempo between 120 beats per minute (bpm), synthesizer riffs, deep basslines, and often, but not necessarily, sung, spoken or sampled vocals. In-house, the bass drum is usually sounded on beats one, two, three, and four, and the snare drum, claps, or other higher-pitched percussions on beats two and four.
